Shelter Cat Saturday
Today I'm sharing a kitty in care with a wonderful group in Queensland, Australia, called Wild Cats. They are a one of a kind group who works to rescue and make feral, stray and abandoned cats, adoptable. From their website: "Our goal is to help solve the problem of lost, abandoned and wild cats in our environment in a humane way as an alternative to trapping and killing. We've found that once tamed and brought into a domestic environment, these cats quickly adjust and make wonderful pets. We envisage changing the way animal welfare is conducted in relation to these cats by one day keeping them in a purpose built semi-domestic shelter environment where they are not in cages or pens and have access to fully contained landscaped gardens with trees for them to climb, shrubs, grass, rocks and logs where they can enjoy the sun and interact with people in a pleasant way." They have many cats available for adoption, click here to see them all, but today you get to meet Tika, who won't even cost you a cent! She is free to a loving home...
Tika is a beautiful 4 yr old black female with big green eyes who was dumped and found barely alive on the roadside. Tika has FIV, however, she's in excellent health. She's a friendly and smoochy cat with a lovely nature.
Tika comes desexed and vaccinated, healthy and has received regular worm and flea treatments.
