The Pet Postcard Project
Time to get your craft skills out people! The Pet Postcard Project is a project aimed at raising food for shelter pets and awareness about the plight of homeless animals. Pet Postcards must be homemade and handmake postcards featuring your own pets. You then need to send them via snail mail - yes in the post - to The Pet Postcard Project. The more cards, the more food raised for homeless pets!
The May/June project is the most exciting one yet for cats! Freekibble.com and Halo Purely for Pets are donating 10,000 meals of Halo Spot's Stew for Cats to The Stray Cat Alliance in Los Angeles, CA! They just need 2500 postcards to trigger the donation.
But wait, there's more! Pet Armor is donating $1500 of their cat flea and tick prevention product to The Stray Cat Alliance when the 2500 card goal is reached as well! You think that would be enough to make you want to get you scissors and glue out right now, but believe it or not there's even more! Freekibble.com and Halo have also said they will donate 1000 more meals for every 1000 postcards they receive on top of the 2500 target.
Ok and there is one last, and possibly the best, incentive. The Car Daddy himself, Jackson Galaxy, will be donating two signed copies of his new book to the two most heartwarming postcards featuring their cat. Throw in a quote or little story about your cat like I did! ...And, get ready for it, the person who sends in the best homemade postcard of a cat during this campaign will win A PHONE CALL with Jackson Galaxy himself!
You get the chance to win these great things, as well as the satsifaction of knowing you fed and flea treated some hungry homeless cats, just for getting creative. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? I made my two on the weekend (below) and they will be in the post today! Click here to find out more details, as well as the address, for this campaign.
